About Me - Anthony Lennard (ATI-ABTC, PACT-KSA)

Picking a dog trainer isn't always easy.  There are lots of us out there and it can be even harder to find one that you'd like to work with.  That is why I have created this page, it will allow you to find out what you can expect when you work with me.

From a young age I have always enjoyed being around dogs.  However, it wasn't until I got my first dog Tywin, that I became interested in dog training.  Watching his transformation from a nervous, wary puppy to a confident and friendly dog, kickstarted my interest in training.  I have been learning and developing my skills since.  I am:

- A registered ATI (Animal Training Instructor) with the ABTC (Animal Behaviour & Training Council).

- A full member of PACT (Professional Association of Canine Trainers).

- A member of the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers)

- A Kids Around Dogs (KAD) instructor.

- A member of PPG (Pet Professional Guild).

I am also studying to become a certified separation anxiety trainer.  This will give me the skills to help owners and there dogs with an issue which is close to my heart.

I only use the most up to date, ethical, science based methods.  I will never use methods that cause fear, pain or punishment to your dog.

I look forward to hearing from you.

How my clients describe me in 5 words

My Dog Training Approach

Helping a dog overcome their training or behavioural issues takes time, there are no quick fixes.  That is why I only offer training programmes, instead of one off sessions, which give us the time to achieve the results you want whilst helping your dog.

Your training programme will be completely personalised to you and your dog.  When training your dog, it is important to treat them as individuals.  What works for one dog might not work for another, it is never a case of one size fits all.

I will help you understand the reasons and motivation behind your dogs behaviour and most importantly how to help them.  By helping your dog, your relationship with them will be based on mutual trust and understanding.

My only goal is to help you have the relationship with your dog, that you've always dreamed of.

I'd love to chat with you about how I can help you and your dog.

My Promise to You

One important factor to consider when selecting a dog trainer is will you get on with them?  I pride myself on being approachable and treating everyone with respect.

No Judgement

I will treat you and your dog with empathy, honesty, kindness and most importantly no judgement.

The best environment for learning is one that is fun and relaxing.  Each of our sessions together will be designed to create the best learning environment for your dog, whilst maximising the learning you all achieve.

Each dog is an individual, with their own likes & dislikes.  They also learn at their own speed, therefore as a trainer it is important for me to be patient and work at your dogs speed.

No Pain, Fear or Intimidation

I only use training methods that are science based and force free.  That means I will never use methods or equipment, that use intimidation or cause pain/fear in your dog.

I am continuously updating my knowledge, this is to ensure that I provide you with the most up to date, ethical and effective dog training techniques.
